Canapé-lit Anfibio d'Alessandro Becchi pour Giovannetti, 1972. Entièrement restauré et recouvert de tissus italien marron de haute qualité. Matelas rembourré avec de la laine de mouton douce recouvert de fourrure synthétique. Le canapé Anfibio compte parmi les produits cultes les plus remarquables du design italien. Innovant, original et très fonctionnel, c'est un canapé-lit révolutionnaire, symbole de haute qualité et d'artisanat sapide. Il est possible de la retrouver dans la collection permanente de 13 musées dans le monde, dont le MoMa à New York, depuis 1972. Alessandro Becchi a conçu le canapé "Anfibio" pour le fabricant italien Giovannetti en 1970. Il se caractérise par des dimensions généreuses et des formes douces et enveloppantes qui invitent à la détente et au confort. Il rappelle un canot pneumatique flottant grâce à l'absence de mécanisme rigide. Cette caractéristique a inspiré son nom, qui signifie amphibie. En outre, le canapé présente une structure rectangulaire en acier et un padding en polyuréthane haute densité indéformable, recouvert de fibres acryliques thermosoudées et d'un tissu de protection. Le canapé Anfibio de Giovannetti est disponible revêtu de cuir ou de tissu et de plusieurs couleurs. Cette œuvre d'art est la solution convertible idéale, la combinaison parfaite de la recherche esthétique et de la vie domestique innovante. Alessandro Becchi est né à Florence en 1946. Il a étudié à l'ISIA de sa ville natale et, à la fin des années 60, il a commencé sa carrière de designer. En 1970, il a conçu le canapé révolutionnaire Anfibio pour Giovannetti. En 1972, grâce au succès d'Anfibio, il est invité à l'exposition "Italy : the New Domestic Landscape" au Museum of Modern Arts de New York. Cette date s'ouvre en étroite collaboration avec Giovannetti. Il a conçu une série de canapés-lits, tels que Only You, Brando, Diletto, et les célèbres fauteuils Le Bugie. Designer aux capacités considérables, Becchi apporte innovation, fraîcheur, amour du projet, établissant, en outre, une excellente relation de travail avec Benito Giovannetti. La collaboration entre Alessandro Becchi et la marque italienne est interrompue par son décès en 1987.
