Elegant two-seater Chesterfield sofa, crafted with a solid wood frame and deep hand-tufted upholstery using the traditional deep buttoning technique, where buttons are set into the leather to form a perfectly regular diamond pattern. The seat is supported by springs and filled with dense foam and natural fibres, ensuring the firm and comfortable feel typical of high-quality vintage pieces. Upholstered in full-grain leather tinted in a rare olive green shade, beautifully patinated over time. Decorative nailhead trim runs along the rolled arms, and the sofa rests on turned beechwood feet stained dark brown. The construction and detailing clearly indicate skilled craftsmanship rather than industrial production.
Its proportions, the specific tone of green leather, and the slightly squarer shape compared with 19th-century English models all suggest production around 1970–1980, most likely from a Swedish or English workshop inspired by original Victorian designs.
