About the Item
Elegant Italian design chair produced in the 1950s by Società Compensati Curvi, model 112.
The chair features a beautifully sculpted bent plywood shell in teak, characterized by a continuous, fluid profile that integrates seat and backrest into a single ergonomic form. The back rises vertically with a subtle asymmetrical cut, while the seat extends forward with a gentle lip, offering both comfort and visual lightness.
The structure is supported by slender black lacquered iron rod legs, creating a refined contrast with the warm teak wood. The combination of molded wood and minimal metal frame is a clear expression of Italian mid-century modern design, balancing functionality and sculptural presence.
The chair has been professionally restored and is in excellent condition, with a well-preserved wood surface and a solid, stable frame. A small round cushion has been added for additional comfort and will be included with the chair.
Ideal as a desk chair, dining chair, or accent piece in both residential and professional interiors.
