About the Item

Traditional antique mountain chair from southern Germany. This distinctive and primitive chair is entirely handmade and assembled with mortise and tenon joints. This example is made of pine and was once painted beige. This old paint has worn off in many places, giving the chair a beautiful patina. The chair is sturdy and suitable for daily use. It dates back to around 1800-1850.
