About the Item

A pair of ‘Castiglia’ chairs, designed in 1968 by famous italian architect and designer Achille Castiglioni for Zanotta. These chairs feature a chromed tubular steel frame with seamless curves forming both the legs and arm supports, paired with black faux leather seats and backrests that have developed a soft, authentic patina. A crescent-shaped cutout on the upper backrest serves as a handhold while adding a subtle sculptural detail. The lightweight construction allows the chairs to be easily stacked for practical storage, making them both functional and elegant. This set represents a rare early example from Zanotta, uniting utilitarian function with timeless Italian modernist sophistication—perfect for collectors and curated interiors.
