Alessandro Becchi “Toscanolla” dining chairs for Giovannetti, ash and straw, Italy, 1970, set of eigth.
This rare "Toscanolla" dining chair was designed by Becchi for Giovannetti in 1970. Often misspelled as "Toscanella", the "Toscanolla" chairs are characterized by cone-shaped legs that create a bulky, solid wooden structure, but still sophisticated thanks to the curved straw backrest. A unique and refined design that recalls iconic comfortable Italian country chairs, such as the Vico Magistretti "Carimate". Each chair is marked with the designer and manufacturer logo on the back.
Our atelier carefully restored the chairs. Slight signs of use and time.
