About the Item

Plexiglass and White Leather Chair by André Courrèges Striking chair designed by André Courrèges, embodying the designer’s iconic Space Age vision and avant-garde approach to form and material. Combining transparent plexiglass with crisp white leather upholstery, the chair reflects Courrèges’ signature exploration of modernity, lightness, and futuristic elegance. The interplay between the clarity of the plexiglass structure and the softness of the leather creates a dynamic visual contrast, allowing the piece to appear both sculptural and weightless. Clean lines and precise geometry underscore the designer’s architectural sensibility, while the white leather adds a refined, tactile dimension consistent with Courrèges’ celebrated monochromatic palette. At once functional and emblematic, this chair stands as a compelling example of late 20th-century French design, seamlessly bridging fashion, furniture, and experimental materials. Ideal as a statement piece in contemporary or modernist interiors.
