Wonderful pair of English Arts and Crafts Glastonbury chairs.
An English, Tudor Revival, pair of hall seats with ecclesiastical and Gothic overtones, dating to the mid-19th century.
Exhibiting ecclesiastical and Gothic overtones with classic tusked joints – the 'keys' of wood were designed to be removed to simply disassemble the chair for transportation
Shaped armrests synonymous with the style are complete with carved trefoil.
The quality and craftsmanship of these chairs is quite good. And to find a matching pair is not easy.
