About the Item
This is a fantastic massive L&JG Stickley chair with slats under each arm. The chair features bent arms (see photos). The bent arms give the chair a unique appearance. The chair is in excellent condition with a great original finish and original spring seats. The leather seat was recovered with top quality hand spun black leather. STURDY AND STRONG, the chair is ready for use in your home or office.
BENT ARM.
Please note: Most "Stickley" and “Charles Limbert” items and many Roycroft items online are reproductions, or outright fakes. For example, in 1974 a man named Alfred Audi, along with his wife Aminy, approached the widow of Leo Stickley before she passed. He purchased the L&JG Stickley company, along with the brand name "L&JG Stickley," and he manufactured furniture "In The Style" of the original Stickley work.
BTW - We have dealt with original Gustav Stickley items (circa early 1900s) since early 1970s in New York. For the last 44 yrs we have had a retail shop on Rt 15 in Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania. We have over 5,000 pieces of Real Stickley furniture. We buy from collections in New York and Pennsylvania. We buy only the best. We pay a little more than other dealers, but we get only the very best. We don't deal with "problem" furniture.
We will ship this piece either directly to your home (in Pennsylvania or in Northeast US) or via freight. (Please call us to work out shipping details.) If you are not close to us, It will then be delivered to a freight terminal near you where you must then pick it up. Unless the piece is delivered directly to your home, it must be picked up at the freight terminal. We will send you contact information for the terminal, along with documents showing the tracking number.
