About the Item
The robotic form of this occasional chair is reflected in its name, the Bee Boo Bop Chair. Painted in a contemporary powder blue, this chair, which was inspired by 1950s
60s post war Children's tin robot toys, the Bee Boo Bop chair explores the idea and aspects of play.
Fantasy, fun, and fear comes to mind when we think of robots taking over, but the Bee Boo Bop chair isn’t going anywhere. Handcrafted in our Georgia, US studio, this side table is crafted from a wood base. The piece is then sculpted with a complex gypsum, pulp, and epoxy mix. After curing, the chair is sanded then a hand applied fiberglass layer coats the entire piece to add to durability and longevity.
