About the Item
Available today, these Mid-Century Modern chairs in Caning and Metal designed by Carlo Hauner in the fifties are beautiful!!
The chairs feature an iron structure painted in black covered in caning. Attached an image showcasing one chair with a Geraldo de Barros desk and they look stunning.
This set would look incredible in any modern, Mid-Century Modern, or contemporary environment.
Carlo Hauner (1927-1997) and Martin Eisler (1913-1977) were the primary designers for the iconic Brazilian furniture company Forma. They are most known for well-shaped armchairs made in iron, but the production is far more complex, handcrafted, and extensive. The wood pieces produced by Forma Móveis e Objetos de Arte during 1950
1960s in Brazil are highly designed and well-executed.
Their narrative spans four countries (Italy, Austria, Brazil, and Argentina) and several decades and their exceptional works are already highly sought-after examples of the vibrant modern design movement in Latin America.
