About the Item
Rich aged, heavyweight, hand-made, pine Brutalist pair of chairs. This pair of chairs has been created in the style of Pierre Chapo, Charlotte Perriand, Victor Courtay, and De Puyt. They are made of heavy pine boards with nice, half round joint punctuations in matched wood.
They'd be wonderful with a small table between them or as accessory chairs in bedrooms. We'd love to see them flank a credenza or buffet in a dining room as well.
The stance, angles and construction make for a sculptural statement whether the chairs are used individually or together. The pine wood grain has such an identifiable and uniquely historic feel, yet these do seem to work themselves into and amongst other furniture styles from Midcentury Modern to European Primitive pieces, including Folk Art cabinets and shelving.
