About the Item

Beautiful mid-century solid wooden chairs made in France during the 1950s. The striking appearance of these French chairs is characterised by the high backrest with its robust foot ends and, above all, by the striking hand carved flower on the top of each chair. These features are a nod to the architectural roots of Brutalism and give them an appealing overall presence from all angles. Each chair is made from solid wood and is characterized by a robust construction and a warm natural finish that enhances the rich grain and natural beauty of the wood. Their minimalist design enables versatility and complements both traditional and modern interiors. These chairs will add both timeless style and functional appeal to any home. Lovely patina with normal age-related signs of use. The chairs are sold individually. if you are interested in a pair or all four chairs please contact me in advance.
