About the Item
This chair comes from architect Zakaria Boucetta's first series and is serial #00D (00 being the prototype series and D being the model)
Inspired by the landscapes of their surroundings, the Sonoran desert, its light/valleys/flora/tones, all to which brought formal gesture to each move in its series.
6 designs / 2 typologies - chair/stool with additional typologies to be added singularly in each series. Hand built, hand stained by Zak. These pieces represent a limited series, with each series going further and will be evolved from the previous. - all either stained slightly differently or having its own unique irregularity in tone, wood imperfections and roughness.
The project comes from a vision of collaboration between local creators, in which each series will have an invited designer to create a singular piece.
