About the Item
The chair 'Berserker' is made of mirror polished stainless steel with upholstering in genuine brown cognac leather. Tipping over the chair it turns into a side-table which also contains a magazine rack. The stainless steel structure is hollow inside and is welded and mirror polished by hand. The cushion, in genuine leather of the best quality, is sewn by hand and requires a lot of experience and craftsmanship due to its complexity.
Chair dimension: L 56 x W 50 x H 82 cm. Dimensions are customizable.
Customizable leather colors: white, cognac, orange, aquamarine or upon request.
Limited Edition of 20.
Each chair is hand signed and numbered by the artists (engraved), 100% handmade in Italy and comes with a “Certificate of Authenticity”.
The inspiration came from folding a simple piece of paper; the aim of the project was to reproduce this shape giving it body and resistance without losing the windiness of its curves. The pattern of the cushion recalls a zoomorphic shape, a living organism, animal or plant, parasite or symbiont, hugging the chair tightly, seeming to grow on it in contrast to the coldness and hardness of the metal. It feels that, leaving the room for an undefined time, one could at his return find the chair completely overgrown by this parasite organism, taking over the hard metal.

Gunnell are regularly shown at international art fairs, such as PAD London, PAD Genève, PAD Monaco, Salon Art + Design New York, ArtMiami.

We take care of the entire customs procedure and paperwork. On request we organize a white glove delivery and installation of the artwork inside of the property of the client. All shipments are ALL-RISK insured.
We carefully pack all artworks in strong wooden crates to ensure safe transport. This service is done directly in our atelier and is complimentary.
All of our artworks travel with a shock watch system in order to monitorate rough handling by shippers and movers.
