About the Item

Parisian in character and drawing its inspiration from the traditional bistro chair, Claretta appears as a slender, impeccably groomed seat. The design is simple yet sports essential details, such as the assertive way in which the turned legs join the backrest, which tilts out slightly towards the top to guarantee the utmost comfort. Stackable up to a height of five, it is also available with armrests and in a stool version Florian Schmid, born 1984 in Germany, graduated in 2011 from the University of Munich, Faculty of Applied Sciences and subsequently opened his own studio. He designs and designs furniture, textiles and consumer goods. Objects often have an iconic and figurative impression. The design process is guided by a strong playful and experimental sense, always keeping in mind the nature of the materials themselves and their character. With his design he wants to provoke emotions in consumers and improve the surrounding environment. His works have been exhibited at London's Design Festival, during the BODW in Hong Kong, at the D3 Contest Design Talents in Cologne and at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. He has already received several awards, such as the IF Award 2012; he was nominated as a "rookie" in the 2013 German Design Award and his works have been acquired by various design collections. Recently, in the spring of 2014, it was awarded by the Architektur Wohnen newspaper as "A W DESIGNTALENT 2013".
