About the Item

Edition of 25, signed and numbered The SE69 was designed by Martin Visser exactly 60 years ago in 1959. Sabine’s signed and numbered Limited Edition of 25 is an homage to Visser’s achievement in Dutch furniture design. Visser aimed to design graphic yet comfortable furniture for modern people, transparent and functional at the same time. Sabine has been able to transform Vissers design without changing it. Her use of coloured resin is complementary to the design and emphasizes the strong lines of the chair. Although the original chair was upholstered, the resin gives the chair a soft touch. Although it is a piece of art, it can still be used as a chair. It was presented together with the SOAP desk by Sabine Marcelis at Nomad St Moritz 2019 by Etage Projects.
