Founded in 1985 in Barcelona, Santa
Cole produces iconic pieces by such luminaries as llmari Tapiovaara, Miguel Milá and other European icons with a commitment to faithfully re-edition their legendary designs with uncompromising attention to detail, materials and craftsmanship.
The 'Barceloneta' was first introduced in 1953 by Correa and Milá, and was commissioned by Josê Antonio Coderch to furnish Casa de la Marina in Barceloneta, a popular sailors’ district in Barcelona. Designed to be lightweight and easily transported, the chair's beech frame features a double-sided leather seat. The unusually high and inclined backrest, crafted in a detachable and washable white canvas, is uncompromising in comfort, while being suggestive of a marine sail due to the ties used to fasten it. The result is the 'Barceloneta' which is as beautiful indoors as it is outdoors.
Price per item. Available to order in unlimited quantities and executed in a beech frame, double-sided leather seat and white canvas backrest. Please note only one representative example is shown, some variation may occur in the leather and wood's grain, color and features due to the organic nature of the materials.
