Cubist side chair by Czech architect and designer Pavel Janák (1881 – 1956), a pioneer in stripping away ornament. Don’t let the expressive angles fool you - this piece is very comfortable to sit on. Among the most distinctive and most frequently published pieces of early Czech Cubist furniture. It is a reproduction of the original stored in the Museum of Decorative Arts.
