Enrico Girotti is an industrial designer who has found in the word “maker” his most authentic form of expression. Graduated in Industrial Design from the IUAV University of Venice, in his creations, he has established a strong connection between the creative and production processes, blending technical training with his personal research. He expresses himself in a continuous analog cross- disciplinary exchange between functions and forms. He engages in design both in the industrial and artisanal realms, striving to bring forth and incorporate the hidden connections between the concept, the context, and the people in the physical manifestation of the object. This integrated process, in which every occurrence is not random, rejects randomness. In 2017, he founded the brand lapiegaWD , as a direct and unmediated design initiative. This brand represents an ever-evolving synthesis of his research on materials, processes, forms, and relationships. In 2023, he founded ENRICO GIROTTI, a platform to freely experiment with techniques, craftsmanship, and design, creating small series, uniquely numbered pieces, and advanced customizations of lapiega products, as well as pre-series. Enrico Girotti is a rich blend of furnishing elements, each infused with a profound quest to establish a renewed equilibrium capable of expanding the design and technological perimeter that surrounds the very concept of project/ object.
