About the Item
An exquisite French bergere chair in the style of Louis XV. Spring green velvet upholstery with a metallic silver clad trim and legs. There are two cabriole legs on the sides and one on the front and back of the front of the chair. This is a slightly unusual setup for chair legs but it adds character to the piece. Roped shapes accent the lining of the chair on the top half of the back of the chair as well as the legs.
The back structure and seating of this chair are perfectly balanced and provide great support for the user.
In good condition. Some gentle wear on the upholstery consistent with age and use. This comfortable and regal piece would make a great feature in the living room or sunroom of any estate.
