An excellent example of a Napoleon III French Crapaud (Tub) Chair, with a low rounded back and integrated arms in keeping with the proportions of the period.
Seating from this period was both particularly comfortable and solid having lasted almost two hundred years and likely to last another two hundred.
The chair is offered in excellent condition ready for recovering. Currently covered in calico with a pink ticking on the seat, intended as a preparatory covering prior to final upholstery.
Perfectly proportioned for a town house drawing room, bedroom or bathroom.
