About the Item
These French Slipper Medallion chairs are a rare find. In France, they are called "chauffeuses," which translates to fireside chairs. They were created to sit comfortably by the fireplace. They are much lower than standard chairs, as this model was designed to enjoy the warmth of a fire.
In the style of Louis XVI, the chair legs are carved to create meticulous lines and floral details. The raspberry coloured silk damask upholstery beautifully complements the creamy white chair frame. This pair of unique slipper chairs would make the perfect addition to any room, adding a pop of colour and a touch of classic elegance to the space.
