About the Item

Set of 2 Locus Solus Lounge Chairs and Ottoman by Gae Aulenti for Poltronova – Restored This rare set includes two lounge chairs and one ottoman from the Locus Solus series, designed by Gae Aulenti and produced by Poltronova in the late 1960s. The tubular metal frame, lacquered in orange, reflects the bold, experimental spirit of Italian radical design. The set has undergone a full professional restoration. The cushions have been reupholstered with a high-quality cotton jacquard fabric featuring a yellow and white geometric motif that recalls the graphic aesthetics of the 1960s. The vibrant combination of color and structure highlights Aulenti’s ability to merge art, design, and functionality. The Locus Solus series is featured in important design collections and is considered a key example of postmodern Italian furniture. A distinctive collector’s piece for design-focused interiors.
