About the Item

Important Antique Rare Gustav Stickley Window Seat - from year 1900 - W8359 This is a rare and important Gustav Stickley Window Seat from year 1900. This is one of the very first pieces Gustav Stickley made. It was is a group he called "Chips - The Furniture of Gustav Stickley." It has the ORIGINAL LEATHER (with some staining as you can see in the photos). The wear is all from normal wear and tear. All the brass tacks are original. This piece shows and early instance of Keyed Through Tenon Construction on each side. This piece was not signed - Gustav did not sign his work until 1902. The work has the original finish. WE OFFER ITEMS YOU DO NOT SEE MUCH AROUND. When we offer an item by GUS STICKLEY you buying a Gustav STICKLEY item. WE DO NOT TELL YOU " STICKLEY SCHOOL",,,, NO GAMES. A Dealer from upstate NY , north of us, list a REPROCTION STAND "Tom Jones" fake made in 1999 and tell you The Pc is from 20 Century, the seller want to fool the buyer.... IF THIS WAS A REAL GUSTAV STICKLEY NEED TO BE FROM THE EARLY 20 Century AND NOT FROM 1999, We do not want to compete with fakes..... We have one more piece from his "Chips" group that we will list shortly. PLEASE LOOK ON THE EARLEY "Keys thru tenon construction on each sides of this bench ( without this part we ask HALF the price) Often we are able to be more competitive on the shipping cost. If you are somewhat close to us (Central Pennsylvania) we may opt to deliver to you in our truck. Please contact us with your location and we will adjust the stated shipping cost (If we can...).
