About the Item

Pair of "Parata" side chairs from the Louis XIV period (18th Century) made in Lombardy, in Northern Italy, with skilfully carved wood. The two chairs have a high back, padded and covered in pink velvet, with an elegant decorative element in matching trimmings. The wooden legs, with elongated spools, have a refined decorative element on the four sides with vines and small round flowers. But the most particular element is the central connecting crosspiece, resting on two crosspieces, carved to form a sort of semi-shield with curls and rich decoration.
