About the Item

This is a very beautiful set of six elegant dining chairs hand carved in solid oak. Their shapes are gorgeous and the proportion makes them an important presence in a dining room. Deeply engraved the legs are a little masterpiece of craftmanwork. In the lower part it is possible to see a restoration dated early 20th century, by the application of metal bands, to consolidate the structure. The fabric is contemporary realization. Handcrafted in Lucca, Tuscany, Italy “Certificate of Authenticity” attached.

All six frames featuring swan shaped brass inlaid motifs strikingly silhouetted against ebonized panels within brass moldings, over hand carved lyre-shaped splats replete with brass 'strings'. The frames also featuring brass strung stiles, front seat rails & sabre-leg front supports. All are in exceptionally sound condition due to the classical construction method of using oak as the secondary wood for added strength & durability.
