About the Item
"La Gomi" is completely upholstered from toes to head. Soft and lightweight, it reminds of the chair you thought of when you were a kid. The chair is totally handmade and it's composed of a wooden structure covered with foam rubber and recycled polyester upholstered by hand in cotton fabric.
Fiormi is a design studio driven by curiosity and play. Having fun is serious business and playing enhances the creative process. Taking the archetype of everyday objects as a reference, we believe that we work with the same interest that a child feels when observing something new. The studio is founded by Irene Infantes (Seville), graduated in Textile Design from Central Saint Martins of the University of the Arts in London, and Matteo Pacella (Milan), graduated from the London Metropolitan University in Furniture and Product Design.
The 'La Gomi' chair was exhibited during the Madrid Design Festival 2023 and "That object of desire" at IKB191. Also Fiormi will be the first design studio to carry out the residency offered by the Madrid gallery We Collect (May and June 2023), until now exclusively for artists.
