About the Item
Lovely original carved Louis XVI-style chairs with original Aubusson tapestry upholstery. A pair of Louis XVI style fauteuils or armchairs in their original condition are ready to be reupholstered. They are extremely sturdy and have very beautiful foliate carvings on the crest and apron of the chairs. They in their original crème-peinte with original Aubusson tapestry upholstery. Although the tapestry is faded there is a charm to their look. They are ready for reupholstery or can be used as is. The seats are 17 inches high, they are very ample chairs with a width of 26 inches wide. Aubusson tapestry with muted tones of creams, taupes, pinks, and gold-tone floral decorations.
The construction of these chairs is very solid and sturdy. Use as is anywhere in the home, perfect for that Paris apartment or French country style.
