About the Item

A spectacular Nineteenth Century, French fauteuil in the style of Louis XIV, upholstered in its original tapestry. Tapestry upholstered with studded details on a walnut frame with figured supports. The tapestry depicts lovely, sinuous motifs of lowers and branches on a pink ground. In wonderful, solid condition. Some fading to the back of the chair and to the tapestry on the backrest. This is a substantially scaled piece that would make a wonderful accent in any interior. Extremely comfortable as well.
