About the Item
Carlo Bartoli designed this exceptionally comfortable dining armchair for Matteo Grassi.
Model: Vela.
The chair features a solid beechwood frame. The seat and armrest areas are upholstered in cognac saddle leather, which has developed a beautiful, rich patina over time. ery rare to finde these in cognac.
The legs are made of beechwood; however, one chair features walnut legs (please see the last image).
Very good vintage condition, with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use.

Carlo Bartoli
Carlo Bartoli, born in Milan in 1931, is an Italian architect and designer. He created many successful works, such as the Gaia armchair, included in the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Design Museum of the Milan Triennale. Bartoli was awarded the ADI Compasso d'Oro for Lifetime Achievement.
Matteo Grassi
Matteo Grassi was an artist, who was born in 1927. Grassi grew up during the 1930s and was inspired by the artistic atmosphere of the time.
