About the Item

A mid 20th Century Italian chair, known as a Savonarola chair, named after a 14th-century monk. This design mimics the curule chair, a folding seat used by emissaries and rulers of the Roman Empire. Though this particular chair doesn't fold, it is a stylistic imitation of the ancient original. CONDITION In Great Condition - Wear expected with age. Please refer to photographs.
