About the Item

Chair designed by Prof. Rajmund Halas. Made of beechwood. Chair is after a complete upholstery renovation, the woodwork has been refreshed. Seat is covered in Promenade Kafkaïenne Jacquard by Dedar. About the fabric: A pronounced contrast of material and colour holds sway on a luminous jacquard whose graphic stroke echoes the mid-century Informalism. Shiny raffia ribbons evoke the experimental materials used by Burri and Accardi in their tracing of a free and uninterrupted linear motif. Small textural silk knots, plays of light and matt effects, together with a daring colour palette, contrive to ripple the surface. With a full feel and a flowing drape, this fabric lends itself to upholstery and curtain projects. Composition: 57% Viscose, 24% Cotton, 12% Polyamide, 7% Silk Made in Italy Martindale: 8000 Chair is stable and very shapely. They was produced in former furniture factory in Goleniów in the 1960s. We can prepare this chair in every color of wood and fabric also in different patterns and bigger sets. Please ask for more informations.

Pierre Guariche Designer French Chair with Guild Fabric
By Pierre Guariche
Located in Prato, Tuscany
We kindly suggest you read the whole description, because with it we try to give you detailed technical and historical information to guarantee the authenticity of our objects. The very particular chair has an elegant and aggressive shape; Pierre Guariche is a legendary French designer from the 20th century. He gave a personal and innovative touch to design by combining aestheticism and mass production. As a visionary designer, he knew how to create pieces of furniture with a functionalist approach and an aesthetic dimension. He really wanted to meet the needs of the times by using methods of the series production. His creations became mythic pieces such as the Tonneau chair (1953 and 1954), the Tulip chair (1953), and the President's desk (1961). Our chair was made in France in 1960 and recently retouched with Guild fabric. Designer Guild is an international company based in London and stores all over the world; Designers Guild collections offer a range of luxury furnishing fabrics...
