About the Item

Dimensions: 64 x 60 x 75 x 45 cm (Width x Depth x Height x Seat Height) This elegant armchair was designed by the Finnish designer Olli Mannermaa for Martela in the early 1950s and later produced by Cassina and Eugen Schmidt in Germany. The chair features a polystyrene shell seated on a frame of chrome-plated round steel, making it exceptionally lightweight and easy to handle. The seat shell has been newly padded and equipped with thin foam. The new fabric upholstery is crafted by the Danish premium manufacturer Kvadrat/Sahco, featuring a beautiful bouclé material in an elegant old rose color, giving these classics a contemporary aesthetic. The frame shows traces of surface rust and scratches. Both the upholstery and padding are new.
