Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this original British Army Boer War Roorkhee folding Campaign chair with the regiment or makers stamp Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote, please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price. A very well made and decorative chair, its based on a hammock or sling design and flat packs to fit in a very small backpack. There is a stamp which reads C with three lines like an A and then the numbers 374 which is either a makers or regiment number We have built the chair as pictured, I'm not sure if we did it correctly or if something is missing because it folds very easily, this would be for display only in its current form In terms of the condition, we have cleaned waxed and polished the timber from top to bottom, canvas has been lightly cleaned, it has an amazing period patina. Dimensions Height:- 88cm Width:- 56cm Depth:- 56cm Seat height:- 42cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
