About the Item

Piero Fornasetti (Italian, 1913-1988), circa 1960. Musicale or Musical chair, produced by the esteemed Piero Fornasetti in Italy, during the early 1960s. While most of these chairs on the market are the reproductions produced in the 1990's, this is a true period production by the hands of the master himself. Hand lacquered and painted wood body is attached to a sleek base, hand-stamped and original paper label to underside. It is a very important piece that rarely comes to market and great for any collection. Measures: 36.875" h, 16.25" w, 18.5" d and seat height of 18". According to the estate this chair was purchased from, the owner purchased this chair directly from Piero and was one of the very first produced.
