About the Item
A pair of Bauhaus bentwood crocodile chairs by Thonet. Beech and plywood folding café chairs from the 1930s with crocodile skin embossed seat and back panel in great condition. The embossed pattern was created by running the wood through huge cold steel rollers creating a hard-wearing finish that still retains its detail. Made in Poland embossed under the seat.
