About the Item
English, likely Brighton Pavilion - Circa early 19th century.
Offered is a very unique pair of Brighton Pavilion (attributed) campaign chairs. Featuring a fantastic faux bamboo cross legged design to the main body - which supports a levered cushioned seat and back. Both arms and back finial are carved wood dragons in an ebonized finish. The entire chair folds up to a 4.5" d for easy travel or storage and can be set back up with two sturdy iron supports affixed to the underside of the seat.
**Note** These chairs are incredibly comfortable for lounging.
These are incredibly unusual and rare Chinese Export chairs - We have been unable to find another pair in any books or archives.
