About the Item

These are 60s-70s chairs designed by Isamu Kenmochi for Akita Mokkou. The original stickers still exist. All frames are made of bent solid beech wood. Akita Mokkou has a history of over 100 years as Japan's only manufacturer specializing in bent wood furniture, and continues to make bent wood furniture by the hands of skilled craftsmen. This chair is a model that is also featured in the book ``"The World of Kenmochi Isamu.'' It has an elegant form design unique to bent wood. The legs are also designed in the same way as the arms, making this chair stand out. Also, these legs will not damage the tatami mats even if used in a Japanese-style room. This is a very good design that takes the design seen on prewar Japanese chairs and sublimates it into the modern design of the 60s and 70s.

This is a vintage product from the 60's. This model can be found in the book "Kenmochi Isamu...
