About the Item

Beautiful pair of wooden Arts Crafts chairs from the early 20th century. Likely originating from a monastery, school, or chapel, they embody the simplicity, honesty, and craftsmanship typical of the Arts Crafts movement. The chairs are made of solid oak and constructed using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, reinforced with additional corner braces beneath the seat. The backrests feature three clover-shaped cutouts. A subtle nod to the Neo-Gothic influences that were popular in Western Europe around 1920–1940.
