About the Item

A fine pair of French 19th century Louis XV st. dark oak chairs. Each chair is raised by elegant cabriole legs and handsomely decorated with carvings of shells, acanthus leaves, and scrolls, which continue at the frieze. The back of each chair back is slightly slanted for more comfort. With fine rich carvings on both sides and a top crown. Upholstered and finished with brass nailheads.
