About the Item
An attractive and finely decorated pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Giltwood chairs. Each elegant corner chair is raised by tapered fluted round legs with carved chandelle designs. The top cap of each leg displays a block shape with a circular design in the center. The blocks above each leg flank the straight aprons that showcases a Coeur-de-Rai designed band. The upholstered sides and back are decorated with the scrolled cushioned arms displaying a beautiful mottled design leading up to a delicate central reserve of finely carved blooming flowers.
