About the Item
These handsome armchairs are an excellent example of the understated elegance of French provincial style. Delicate hand-carved ornamentation is featured at the top of the seat back crown and soft floral elements follow on the shoulders, armrests, lower frame and legs. Pronounced cabriole legs, distinctive in furniture of the French provincial period, are finished with a delicately carved hoof. These fabulous armchairs are upholstered with floral tapestry. Condition is commensurate with age and use.
