This is a pair of vintage open elbow chairs. A French, mahogany and walnut Georgian revival armchair in Sheraton taste, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1950. Inviting vintage chairs, crafted in the manner of Sheraton Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order Select stocks present warm caramel hues and fine grain interest Traditionally stuffed cushions with a tasteful ivy green upholstery Crest rail tastefully accentuated with an inset walnut freeze Quartet of slender reeded back splats unite the top and bottom rails Gently curved arms supported by turned and collared risers Supportive seat cushion set at a comfortable height of 44.5cm (17.5'') Ready to enjoy as is, or, easily reupholstered to individual taste due to the drop-in seat squab Standing upon 4 square section legs, gently canted to rear Each of the legs united by double H stretcher rails This is a fine pair of vintage open elbow chairs, with a wonderful Sheraton inspired craftsmanship, in the manner of Georgian examples. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
