Vinta was among the first collection of furniture designed by Palencia, and was initially marketed under the label BALAICO, Arete-Ugma Corporation. One of the chairs retains its original numbered brass label.
Palencia currently is the Creative Director of Gasp Furniture Company, an internationally-known multi-media artist, and a physician renowned in the Philippines for his humanitarian work.
