Alexandre Labruyère is a designer of contemporary furniture and decorative objects. A jack of all trades, he is passionate about his job as a product designer, and has used each of his professional experiences to discover new facets of his work. He is inspired by his many travels and encounters to imagine, design and manufacture furniture and decorative objects. Initially trained in industrial design, he has explored many fields of object design (transportation, art direction, luggage, etc.) this has enabled him to expand his taste for materials, and his skills in using them. After several years in a large industrial sports company, he trained in 2019 at the GRETA of École Boulle in Paris, to become a cabinetmaker. This training allows him today to approach many materials with techniques related to this art, giving life to his ideas and concepts.

Maxime Old, Conseil Chair
By Maxime Old
Located in Paris, FR
This dining room chair was designed by Maxime Old in 1960 for the Rouen City Council. One of the designer’s most emblematic projects. The Anne Jacquemin Sablon gallery presents a contemporary edition of the council chair which is characterized by its satin sycamore base and its velvet seat. The satin finish of the base, creates a polished effect contrasting with the velvet seat. Please note that the velvet is included in the price. You can select a color from our collection of velvet faux mohair. Maxime Old (1910-1991) is one of the most important designers, and interior architects of the 20th century. His work was highly appreciated and noticed from the beginning of his career in the 1930s until the end of the 1980s. Starting the 1960s he became more interested in more global furniture, also thinking of his environment. He then became an interior designer and designed the entirety of certain spaces such as the Paquebot...
