An Interesting Rare Upholstery 19th Century Metamorphic Prayer Chair, Sometimes Also Known as ‘Prie-dieu‘. Hinging the chair back on the front of the arms transforms the chair into a raised kneeling stand, traditionally used in private worship. Solid mahogany frame with carved detail to the sides of the chair back. Excellent original condition with clean upholstery Height fully extended in prayer position 100cm In seated chair mode Height: 73cm I Width: 69.5cm I Depth: 63cm Height to arms: 55cm Seat Height: 33cm Seat height with cushion: 43cm U3HX M1
