Stunning hand carved teak arm chair with beautiful patina. The front legs and arm rests are beautifully fluted and hand carved. We have a collection of four all one of a kind. The price and images reflect the one shown. Full dimensions; 20.5” wide at the front x 16” wide at the back x 16.5″ seat height x 17” back rest x 17″ deep. Circa 1900. We only source the best. Rare. This chair was hand made in the spirit of Wabi-Sabi, a Japanese philosophy that beauty can be found in imperfection and impermanence. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. A beauty of things unconventional. It is the opposite of vulgarity. The costs of achieving this kind of minimalism are seemingly inconsistent with its mission of aesthetic humility.
