About the Item
Rare pair of Valentino wicker chairs, 1970s
Very rare pair of rattan and wicker chairs made in the 70s by Valentino. Valentino created a small collection of wicker pieces in the late 70s/80s. The designs were fabulous and unexpected, as you would expect of the designer. The frame is made of rattan with woven natural wicker. The design has a tall back and style which nods to the East and broad arms which open out. The cushion is a classic white indoor outdoor fabric, not the original cushion fabric.
This piece was brought over by a fine and prominent Italian couple who purchased it from Valentino himself and lived in their estate in Southampton for over 40 years.

Condition: One chair back very slightly leans forward, some snaps to the wicker in some spots, cushions with some stains, good overall condition.
