About the Item
Set of 2 very rare and highly collectible "Medea" wood dining chairs, designed by Vittorio Nobili for Italian manufacturer Tagliabue. The present version is the most elegant and iconic one, with bare wood shell seats and armrests.
"Medea 102" on the typical lacquered tubular steel frame lies an also typical bowl of plywood which forms armrests as well.
The chairs are preserved in untouched original conditions. They show signs of use throughout but are not damaged and still fully usable and enjoyable. The "Tagliabue" engraved signature is visible underneath. The black-painted iron legs, brass bolts set in the seat and wood all show an even and attractive patina, which can be seen especially on the armrest and the seat part, as a darker stains which can be easily removed using simply a cloth and brushing gently with ammoniac which will not create any problems to the wood .
